£7.00
Edward VII one penny scarlet overprinted ARMY / OFFICIAL, used.
What supports the price. A light cancel and a clear, complete overprint.
Forgery warning. British Official overprints are among the most heavily forged areas of the hobby, and forged overprints on genuine common stamps are widespread. This overprint has not been authenticated and cannot be judged from a scan. It is offered uncertified, and the price reflects that. Have it certified before relying on the attribution.
About this description. Written from high-resolution scans of the actual item, with AI assistance, and not examined in hand by an accredited expert. Catalogue numbers, plates, shades and overprint types are indicative and not guaranteed, and faults such as thins, repairs, regumming or re-perforation do not always show in a scan. For anything valuable we recommend an opinion from the BPA or the RPSL. The photograph is of the stamp you will receive.
